The Pentair Diffuser Assembly (154906) is the OEM replacement diffuser for the Triton II TR140 sand filter, engineered to restore proper water distribution and filtration performance in this specific filter model.
The diffuser sits at the top of the filter tank, directly above the sand bed, and channels incoming water evenly across the full filter surface. A cracked, warped, or broken diffuser concentrates flow in one area of the sand bed bypassing clean sand, reducing filtration effectiveness, and causing channeling. Replacing it with the correct OEM part restores balanced, full-bed water distribution.
